Sea Socks
Sea socks are included with each Feathercraft kayak, except the Klondike, where they are optional.
They are made from high-quality coated nylon, and seam-taped. The sea sock is a great safety item. The top of the sock fits tightly around the cockpit coaming rim. Contoured to fit along the seat-back and bottom, the "foot" is loose through the cockpit, creating a "pod". The paddler sits in the sock. Legs and feet are not constricted. The spray skirt fits as usual. In the event of a capsize, water will only enter the sock, and not the whole boat. It's also great for keeping the inside of your kayak clean.

Cockpit Cover
When camping, keep rain and critters our of your kayak with our waterproof-nylon cockpit cover. It is made from coated nylon linebacker material, and it has shockcord around the seam to fit securely over the kayak cockpit rim.

Spray Skirts
A nylon spray skirt comes standard with every Feathercraft except the Khatsalano Series boats. The nylon spray skirt is made of durable coated nylon packcloth, is seam-taped, and has adjustable shoulder straps. These fit all Feathercraft kayaks, and some other brand name kayaks as well.
A neoprene skirt comes standard with the Khatsalano series. This is to ensure an entirely snug fit around the coaming and your body, to make rolling practice that much drier! They are made for us by Brooks Wetsuits here in Canada.

Inflatable Hip-Fit-Kit
For all kayak models.
Create a snugger cockpit. Our hip-kit is a pair of urethane bladders in nylon covers with webbing straps sewn to either end. Extend the bladders along each side of the cockpit. Clip the straps around the sides of the crossribs. Position the bladders and inflate for your personal fit.

Wisper Rolling Rib
For the Wisper kayak rolling enthusiasts! The rib is radically lower than the standard rib. Because this affects the frame fit to the crossrib, we include a red web strap to cinch around the framework. A black velcro strap secures the keel bar to the base of the crossrib. Also, because your seating is now lower, you may wish to consider a molded plastic seat bottom. This inserts to your seat cushion, between the foam and air cushion to keep you separated from the keel bar.
