How to Place an Order
Browse our catalog and select the products you want. To add an item to your order, click the orange "Add to Cart" button near the price. In some cases you may first need to select the version of an item (for a particular model, etc.).
When you click the add-to-cart button, an overlay will appear on the page and the item you just selected will be highlighted in yellow. You can change the quantity here (default is one) and select the color, etc. For some products, like kayaks, there are also associated optional items than you can add to your order by checking a checkbox.
Your order follows you, so you can review the contents of your shopping cart on any page by clicking the orange shopping cart icon on the main menu. You can remove selected items at any time and change quantity, color and options. You can also change currencies or erase the entire order and start again.
Once you have selected everything you want to order, proceed to checkout by using the checkout link at the top of the order. You will still be able to return at any time before sending your order to change your selections.
The purpose of checkout is to obtain the information needed to calculate shipping and taxes, and to confirm the estimated total with shipping and taxes. Note that the amount shown for shipping at checkout time is an estimate and the actual amount for shipping may vary somewhat. When you make your payment we will ask you to choose how your order will be shipped and then we can give you a firm price for shipping.
Another purpose of checkout is to let you provide contact information that we may need in order to contact you about payment. If you do not provide this information then you will need to contact us after sending your order to make payment arrangements.
At the end of checkout there is a "Submit Order" button. After you click this button your order will be finalized and cannot be changed (items are removed from shopping cart). After submitting your order, you will be taken to a printer-friendly confirmation page that shows your complete order, the date and time, and the order number assigned to it.
Payment must be arranged before your order will be shipped. If you provide contact information, we will try to contact you to arrange payment. If you do not provide this information or we are unable to reach you, it will be your responsibility to contact us.
