New Pivot Foot Pedal

This new foot brace is now standard on the K1 Expedition. To
adapt the brace to an existing K1, the rudder cable & housing
need to be shortened 32cm; and new webbing adjusters attached.
The pivot foot brace is an option for the Kahuna. (Shown in
photo.) There are no changes required to add the brace to an
existing Kahuna.
The unit slides along the track to adjust for leg length. The
telescoping cross brace bar has a spring button to hold it in its
widest position to accommodate shorter paddlers. The rudder cable
is connected to the foot pedal which pivots on the cross brace bar.
Pressing with the top of your foot steers the rudder. When not
using the rudder, you have a very positive brace position from your
instep, in line with your leg.
A cord is attached between the two foot braces; a bungee cord
with hooks loops around the cord and is to loop around the crossrib
behind the brace. Keep the cord loose. This ensures the braces do
not flop forward. Unclip the cord, and the braces fold out of
the way to easily stow gear.

- If you really want a Teal kayak, Act Fast. Teal as
a deck colour choice for our sit-inside models is now
ALMOST officially out of stock and production. We
are no longer able to order this colour. We still have available
one Big Kahuna — with no hatches; and decks for a K1 and a
Klondike. And that’s it !
